Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) Regional Judging 2018

  • Connecticut River Academy 9 Riverside Drive East Hartford, CT, 06118 United States (map)

Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) has young inventors that need our help!

Inviting Yale Club of Hartford members to serve as judges at the upcoming CIC Regional events in East Hartford in March 2018.

The Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) is an award-winning, non-profit educational organization open to students in all schools across Connecticut.  The program is designed to develop, encourage, and enhance critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills through invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship.  Students come up with inventions and present their work at CIC Regional and Final events.  See details on the CIC at:
www.ctinventionconvention.org/about-us  Click on CIC Impact

In order to make this a successful year for young inventors, CIC need judges from every background and career path. CIC needs judges to speak with students, offer feedback, score inventions, and help decide which inventors will advance in the competition.  No experience is necessary, since everyone receives training on the day of the events.

Here are some upcoming CIC events:

March 24, 2018
8-11 AM & 1-4 PM
CIC Central Regional
CT River Academy, East Hartford

April 28, 2018
8 AM - 3 PM
CIC Final
Gampel Pavilion, UCONN, Storrs

The Yale Club of Hartford CIC Team will focus on the Saturday March 24, 2018 sessions in East Hartford. We’ll start small and hope to attract new Team members to take part as judges. (In the future we may design a Yale Club of Hartford CIC award). Registration is easy! You can register for either or both of the March 24 morning or afternoon sessions.

Once you register, please send an email to Katherine McCormack (kmccor4040@aol.com) to let her know. She will then put you on the list of our new Yale Club of Hartford CIC Team.
