Summer Fellowship Challenge

Over the past five years, the Yale Club of Hartford has sponsored 19 Yale student interns at Hartford-area not-for-profit organizations or government agencies. During Summer 2018, four area Yale students held paid internships at Jackson Labs, Wheeler Clinic’s health center, Conn. Dept. of Public Health, and the Conn. Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. Of those 4, three were incoming freshmen, with one funded by the Club’s Robert Jackson Fund. The late Robert Jackson was the chief executive officer of Phoenix Life Insurance.

With the success of the campaign, the Club seeded the Frank O.H. Williams Summer Fellowship Fund, a designated fund for summer internships. We plan to fund four interns this summer. This challenge grant provides the opportunity to fund an intern this summer or next.

We encourage members to consider a contribution in support of the internship program. Contributions may be mailed in or paid online. If by mail, please send to:

The Club accepts gifts of publicly-traded securities. The Club is also able to assist in your planned giving.
