Yale Day of Service 2016 - Elizabeth Park Rose Garden

  • Elizabeth Park Rose Garden 1561 Asylum Avenue West Hartford, CT, 06117 United States (map)

Join us as we return to Elizabeth Park’s famous Rose Garden.  We will prune, weed, and/or provide general care to a portion of the Rose Garden under the direction of park employees and staff from the Elizabeth Park Conservancy. We will initially meet outside the Park’s administrative office across from the Rose Garden at 8:45 and gather inside for a brief presentation about the history of the Park and the Rose Garden.  Then, off to work using tools supplied by the Park or your favorite tools from home.  Families with mature children 12 and over are welcome. Be prepared to get a little dirty! There is a strict limit on the number of participants, so book early to avoid disappointment. Please register by April 27th by contacting Michael Albano ‘82 MFA (michalbano@comcast.net).
