Alarmist global headlines are on the rise. Is a new recession on the horizon? How will trade wars impact the U.S. economy? How do the media events we give our attention to shape our economic reality?

Join the CT World Affairs Council to hear from Yale Professor Robert Shiller, Nobel Prize–winning economist, New York Times bestselling author as he speaks on the topic of "The Global Economy: How stories go viral and drive major economic events."

Professor Shiller is an expert on economic trends and issued prescient warnings on both the dot-com bubble of the ’90s and the housing market crash less than ten years later.

This event will feature a book sale and signing of Professor Shiller's latest book, Narrative Economics.
