Discussion of The UN and its Response to War in Ukraine - Featuring Former UN Ambassador Sichan Siv

Escaping the killing fields of Cambodia to a new life in America that began when his flight touched down in Tweed Airport in New Haven, working picking apples in Wallingford and flipping burgers at Friendly’s Ice Cream in Middletown, and incredibly rising to the highest levels of international politics as United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Sichan Siv’s story is truly the American Dream.

Ambassador Siv will discuss his story, as well as strengths and weaknesses of an institution like the United Nations in dealing with the current tragedy and Russian violence in Ukraine. He most recently spoke in Las Vegas for 300 multinational companies seeking his thoughts on the world situation. The Yale Club of Hartford is proud to host Ambassador Siv as its current speaker.

The Yale Club of Hartford will host the event as a Zoom Webinar.  We will randomly select six attendees for a door prize of one of Ambassador Siv’s books that he will sign personally for the recipient.
