Angel of Edgewood, Inc., and the African American Sub Commission of the CT Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity will host their Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Community Breakfast on Wednesday, November 22nd.
At this event, Angel of Edgewood's volunteers, the Commission’s staff, along with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, will gather to serve a hot hearty southern style country breakfast to individuals and families throughout the community. This year’s breakfast will be served from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM This Wednesday hosted by Rabbi Michael Pincus and Congregation Beth Israel at 701 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford.
This breakfast not only provides a free hot meal to families who may otherwise go without, but it also serves as a unique opportunity to foster unity and mutual understanding. We firmly believe that building connections with citizens from diverse backgrounds is crucial in sparking positive and lasting change throughout our communities and state#
Proud sponsors for this year’s event are: Yale Club of Hartford, JTConnect, Crown Market, City of Hartford, Women At The Table-CT, and FOX61.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in serving meals, as well as distributing bags of groceries and free coats to ensure that families leave with more than just a hot breakfast. Your participation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Volunteers are asked to arrive between 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM in order to be in position for serving meals at 9:00 AM.
