Angel of Edgewood, Inc., and the African American Sub Commission of the CT Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity will host their Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Community Breakfast on Wednesday, November 27th.
All are welcome! At this event, Angel of Edgewood's volunteers, the Commission’s staff, along with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, will gather to serve a hearty breakfast alongside our community leaders who care deeply about Hartford. Whether you’d like to stay and chat or take your food to go, we’re here to help you start the Thanksgiving holiday week with warmth, gratitude, and community spirit. This breakfast not only provides a free hot meal to families who may otherwise go without, but it also serves as a unique opportunity to foster unity and mutual understanding. We firmly believe that building connections with citizens from diverse backgrounds is crucial in sparking positive and lasting change throughout our communities and state!
We are seeking volunteers to assist in serving meals, as well as distributing bags of groceries and free coats to ensure that families leave with more than just a hot breakfast. Your participation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Volunteers are asked to arrive between 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM in order to be in position for serving meals at 9:00 AM.
