Post-Election Panel Discussion by Zoom (2020)

The Yale Club and Scholarship Foundation of Hartford invites Yale friends and alumni to join our traditional post-election analysis and discussion.  We are also inviting local alumni associations from Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, and others to participate.  Duby McDowell from McDowell Communications Group and co-host of WFSB-TV's Face the State will serve as moderator.  A Harvard graduate, Duby has “crossed the aisle” and participated in this Yale event for the past six years, and we are very fortunate to have her continue the inter-collegiate tradition by joining us once again this year.

We are also very fortunate to have a distinguished set of panelists to debate and analyze the results of the recent election.  The panelists will come from both sides of the aisle, including leader of the Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus Len Fasano (Yale '81); former state Senator and current Hartford Courant columnist and co-host of Face the State, Kevin Rennie; State Treasurer Shawn Wooden; and former Hartford Commissioner of Planning and Zoning Sara Bronin (Yale JD '06).   The panel will discuss local, state, and national election outcomes; trends in voting patterns; and legislative priorities for both parties in the Connecticut legislature and U.S. Congress.

We kindly ask participants to consider a donation of $15 per attendee to support the Yale Club's many worthy activities which include sponsoring summer interns to work in the Hartford area and volunteer events in service to our community.  Also, if you have not formally joined our Club, now is your chance to do so.

To register by email, send an email to hartford.yale.club@gmail.com and we will send you instructions for the Zoom login.

We look forward to "seeing" you on November 18!
