Virtual Tour of the Connecticut Historical Society Exhibit - A Vote of Her Own: The Fight for Women’s Suffrage in Connecticut

What better way to celebrate the benefits of peaceful protest than to turn back the clock 100 years and see how a brave group of women (and a few men) marched for the right to vote!  The Yale Club and Scholarship Foundation of Hartford invites its members, Yale alumni, and friends to join us for a virtual tour of the Connecticut Historical Society's exhibit  A Vote of Her Own: The Fight for Women's Suffrage in Connecticut.  Taylor McClure, a Museum Educator at the society, will join us by Zoom and present photographs and artifacts included in the exhibit.  The exhibit began in August 2020 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the passing of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which guaranteed women the right to vote.

Cost to participate is $15 for Club members and their guests, and $25 for non-members. We kindly ask participants to also consider an additional donation to support the Yale Club's many worthy activities which include sponsoring summer interns to work in the Hartford area and volunteer events in service to our community.  If you have not formally joined our Club, now is your chance to do so.

We look forward to "seeing" you on January 26!
